RAGTIME - JAZZ - CLASSICAL - COUNTRY - FOLK - BROADWAY SHOWS

TV - RADIO - RECORDING STUDIOS - CLUBS & BARS

During a career that now spans over 50 years, Lynn has steadily performed nationwide - with a one month stint in Europe - in a wide variety of situations and venues, from playing with a country band on the back of a flat-bed truck in a supermarket parking lot in Alabama, to the concert stage in New York before thousands of people.

2005 - 2009 -- Lynn was the piano-half of PIANAFIDDLE, a fiddle/piano duo based in Lewisburg, WV, that went from playing concerts regionally to a record-breaking nationwide tour that covered 46 states, 272 concerts from Aug. ‘08 through June ‘09. (some videos of this tour can be seen on YouTube under PIANAFIDDLE) -- During this period PIANAFIDDLE also recorded 5 CDs, a live concert DVD, and gave a live concert on NPR.

1980 - 2005 -- Performances & gigs were mainly solo work in the Rocky Mountain region - from a stint at the Blue Onion in Denver, to ski lodges at various areas in the winter, to dude ranches in the summer.
Throughout the decade of the ‘90s Lynn played solo ragtime at the Silver Dollar Saloon in Jackson Hole, WY.
During this period Lynn recorded 6 solo CDs covering a wide spectrum of genres - including the very successful THE WRIGHT RAGS.

1960 - 1980 -- For 15 years of this period Lynn played piano and sang backup vocals with a 4-man group - THE GIGOLOS, performing ‘50s-’60s stuff, with a sprinkling of ethnic material (lots of Greek Weddings & Jewish Bar Mitzvas!).Also, for 5 years Lynn worked with a country band doing live TV shows 5 mornings a week (5:30 - 7:00, AM!!), and the flatbed/supermarket shows on the weekends (playing rhythm guitar on occasions when a piano wasn’t available within 50 miles - which happened quite often!).

BEFORE - 1960 -- Lynn was learning his craft (from the age of 13) at the hands of many great players in the Southeast (where he was born & raised) in countless bars & clubs “with old geezers like I am now, teaching me the art of improvisation”. NOTE - From the ‘60s onward Lynn has taught improvisation both privately and at various university music schools, including the University of Denver and USC. He is also the author of ELEMENTS OF INFORMAL MUSIC (Canyon Press, 1975).

NOV., 2009 - Lynn is a “sideman” in a jazz trio of “sidemen”, THE SIDEMEN, with Dave Bjur on Bass, and Joe Covill on Drums. Based in the NW.
